I am Dr. Jessie Jordan-Parker and I am excited about this opportunity to share with you some changes that have occurred in my life thanks to Dr. Polzin and his Pain Institute. I went from very little hope to evidence based fact that I am going to being able to be recovered from something that I’ve been told by other doctors that they are dying nerves. There is nothing that can be done about it I was just going to be that way and it would get worse as I got older. My future was thinking about wheelchairs and kinds that would fit in my house, it go to that point. And prior to coming here I have had surgery, artery by-pass surgery on my right leg and stems on the right thigh that was what I was dealing with. When I walked it’s like I was walking in quick sand I had to hold on I couldn’t take more than a few steps without needing a cane or a walker, support, or my husband’s strong arms right to hold on to and it was basically holding me up. Since I have come to the Bellevue Pain Institute, I think the biggest chance for me with the Neuropathy, has been from attacks one or two or three a week and they evolved like electric shock kinds of pain and it would be constant and I would be up two three nights in a row just no sleep at all. Since coming to The Institute, I have had no nights like that I’ve had no pain and he can tell you I can sleep for a full 8 hours without waking up in the middle of the night or not going to sleep at all. It’s been a life changing experience. The other thing other than the pain was my ability to walk as I said I wasn’t able to walk unassisted and now I just shocked myself I just walked and walk into the mall, walk up my drive way which is on an incline without holding on, without bending down. I’m looking forward to walking Safeco Field, since last summer I have been only able to do in a wheelchair so there was that whole process. I am just very excited as I said going from very little hope from when I came in here, a lot of skepticism when I came in, from both sides, and now there is evidence based faith. I have faith in Dr. Polzin, in the Bellevue Pain Institute and the fact that I am going to be normal again.
